Jon here at Rockingham is also the Chair of SPATA (The UK's Swimming Pool & Allied Trades Association) and had the pleasure of attending the pilot of the BSPF's Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) training course at the BSPF - British Swimming Pool Federation offices yesterday.
Refeia Zaman, a Holistic Coach who specialises in this subject, facilitated the course, which provided the key understanding of EDI and its practical application in the workplace, with examples, discussion, and practical exercises that bring the subject to life. This will be a brand new course available to all SPATA & BISHTA members later this year and will be designed to promote a more equitable and inclusive leadership culture within the pool & spa industry.
Attending the session in Andover were Dyfed Thompson-Smith, MBA BSPF President (AstralPool UK Ltd), Jon Herbert — SPATA Chair (Rockingham Swimming Pools Limited), David Ramsden (Complete Pool Controls Ltd), Luke Griffiths (ISPE), Zac Cheek (STA), Anne Olliver (Certikin), and members of the British Swimming Pool Federation team, Chris Hayes, Jan Hardy, Sallie Leslie-Golding, Claire Maguire, and Jenna Patterson. They were joined online by Mark Ramsden — PIP Chair (Complete Pool Controls Ltd), Dash Ganeson – SPATA Treasurer (SCP UK) and Michele Bridle (SPATEX Ltd).
